Introducing: SeptoPatch™
A Fascia Lata Graft for Septal Perforation Repair
BioMed ENT is proud to introduce SeptoPatch™, a human donor fascia lata graft designed to support reliable repair of nasal septal perforations.
Septal perforations present a significant surgical challenge. These full-thickness defects in the nasal septum can lead to symptoms including whistling, crusting, nasal obstruction, bleeding, and dryness due to abnormal airflow between the nasal cavities. While smaller perforations may be managed conservatively, larger or symptomatic defects often require surgical closure. However, achieving consistent outcomes can be difficult due to limited tissue availability, tension on mucosal flaps, and compromised vascularity at the perforation site.
SeptoPatch™ provides surgeons with a strong, flexible collagen scaffold that can be placed between septal flaps during repair. Derived from human donor fascia lata, the graft serves as an interposition layer that supports tissue regeneration and mucosal healing while maintaining separation of the repair layers during the critical healing phase. Clinical literature reports closure success rates approaching 85–90% when fascia-based grafts are used, demonstrating the effectiveness of this biologic scaffold in multilayer repair strategies.
Unlike autologous fascia grafts, SeptoPatch™ eliminates the need for tissue harvesting, avoiding donor-site morbidity and reducing operative complexity. The graft is processed and provided ready for hydration and trimming, allowing surgeons to focus on precise flap mobilization and placement.
By combining biologic strength, ease of handling, and reliable integration, SeptoPatch™ helps support durable septal perforation closure and improved patient outcomes.
